Party Invites

So I thought I would share this little piece of me, with you.

Party invites I made for my daughter.

Her 11th birthday Party.

She had a Rock and Roll theme party.
I bought blank CD cases and laid out a cover, CD, and back cover. Printed it on card stock and cut them out.

The Cover

Backside of CD case was the map to the party

The CD, is just a scan of a real CD with the Party Info laid over the top.
We did a photo shoot and I made a pic layout on the backside of the cover.

My Daughters 13th Birthday was 80's Themed

This time I bought blank cassette tapes. I dressed her all up and had a photo shoot, so I could include a pic layout in the cassette foldout.

In the pic layout I included all the party info. We recorded a small message on the tape. This too was printed on card stock.

Even personalized the bar code.

The kids loved the invites.
Her 16th birthday is coming up. Not sure what we'll do for that one.

Trashion Christmas Tree Light Necklace

Had had this crazy idea one day to make a necklace out of old Christmas tree lights. It was crazy alright, as it was tedious.
I started by cutting the lights from the wires.
Used a Dremel tool to drill the holes. (My Favorite Tool)
I had placed a few lights in a hobby vice to hold the lights while drilling them. DO NOT TRY TO HOLD THEM!
Fished craft floral wire into the holes and twisted the wire with a small pliers into a small circle.( I didn't have large enough jump rings)
Used a small snap ring to attach it to the chain.
I just love the way it looks. I get a lot of complements and have made several.
